Looks like Sbhoa's selling places fast.

One week after opening bookings, well over a third of the spaces sold.

Get your form in the post, ladies and gentlemen, to avoid being too late....

I now can't decide on my solo piece! Having listening to a couple of recordings of Malcolm Arnold's Fantasy for Clarinet, I don't think that past the first theme it is particularly easy on the ear. So, now I'm looking to find something else!!

Just taken the plunge and filled in the form - on its way to you sbhoa.
I have been to a couple of the Leeds concerts and really enjoyed them so looking forward to this one - and to meeting more friendly forumites of course!
If there's a not too difficult ensemble I could join in with I'd love to have a go..

The organised small ensemble slots for the concert are now filled but there will be informal playing in the morning.

Unfortunately, I am unable to make it as I am away the week when the event is but I just wanted to enquire as to what the general format of the event is; and is it open to people of all grades etc?

It is open to all adults who are learning to play or sing.
The mix of abilities can vary from year to year and beginners are as welcome as those with more experience.
People arrive during the morning to socialise, have a short rehearsal with their volunteer accompanist and maybe do some informal playing with others. The concert in the afternoon is mostly solos, which may be accompanied, with a few pre arranged an rehearsed in the morning small ensembles. Apart from the performers the only other audience members are family and close friends of performers though many people don't have anybody with them.
After the concert there is usually a meal organised at a local pub for those who are able to make it and anyone who can stick around after that retires to the Station Buffet Bar.
Hope you are able to join us next time. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
