4 hours practise a day is taking its toll on my poor fingers, i have a large red bump on my index finger from pressure on my bow and the right side of my thumb can get sore too
I don't grip particuarly hard - im prone to things like this, had a huge bump on a finger from writing back in school I've seen some little foamy or rubber cushions for this, but now cant find any anywhere! Any ideas? |

It wasnt what i was on about, was talking about ones specifically for bows, but that does sound a pretty good idea!

While you might not think you press 'particularly' hard, four hours a day is a lot, which means it can amplify even the slightest details! Although it's impossible to give specific advice without seeing what you're doing in detail, it does suggest to me something technical which needs tackling.

Was literally just a piece of foam that you slide on, can't remember where i saw it. think it was stringzone but it's gone
They also have rubber things but theyre more designed for beginners to show where to put the fingers: http://www.caswells-strings.co.uk/shop/acc...-bowmaster.html edit: alas i have found something http://www.caswells-strings.co.uk/shop/bow...bowprotect.html not the foamy one i was after though! |
