I looked at the score and they are of equal difficulty (or ease in your case!).

So I will take the 2nd Clarinet part. Have you got the score? It's on IMSLP but you would need to install Sibelius reader to print. If you need it, I can email you the scanned copy.

Corenfa: Will you please accompany us?

Apparently not, as it is not available for Linux (just checked). Will try and dig up an old Windows machine, but can't promise it'll work with this as everything on that machine is probably a few generations out of date.

I'm thinking about to play a piece from 'lord of the rings' or Finzi's 'carol'. For both i'll need probably someone to accompany me. Who likes to help me?

I don't know how Tenor Viol is planning on organising this but at the events I've been involved with the organiser allocates accompanists after the closing date. This way it's possible to fit players and accompanists together. Until the entries are in we don't always know what level of accompaniments/accompanists there are. It's a bit awkward when a very accomplished pianist has enough to do already and there's a more challenging accompaniment to try to accommodate.

Some organisers have let people sort themselves out and this has worked for them.

I played the Finzi for my grade 3 student's exam so would be up for that or could have a look at the Lord of the Rings. Let's see how Tenor Viol wants to do this first.

Thanks sbhoa.

This is my first forum event as organiser and so far, I've only been to one other event. I have sought some advice from b-c. The paperwork will be out in August. The sensible thing is likely to be to see who needs what and then allocate accompanists - please bear with me whilst I try to learn the ropes.

OK - PMs have been exchanged!

Building of web site is underway - site registered - just needs some content now....

And I thought with no orchestra today I was going to have a quiet day today.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

I will put the placeholder details, venue, travel etc up as soon as I can.

Application forms not until August though.

Ok. I'll ust wait and see how things are going. It's the first time for me to join this kind of evening so I don't know how it's usually going. But I'm looking forward to it although the thought of playing solo in front of other people makes me nervous. I'm sure i learn a lot of it.
