My daughter is doing it Monday...Corelli, Rieding and Chapple. Not that we're nervous, but well be glad when it's all over so that we can get back to enjoying new pieces Good luck!

what pieces are you playing, Fran*Piano? Regards your signature, at grade 5 I think you can consider yourself beyond being a "beginner" though eh!

Thank you for pointing that out, katemorrisviolin- it's been quite a while since I was on the forum properly, at which time I was most certainly still a beginner! Perhaps I should change it... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blush.gif) I'm doing the Corelli, the Dancla and the Chapple, it's the first time I've ever taken an exam when I've loved every single piece (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif) not so fond of the three octave scales though!! What pieces are you playing for yours? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I haven't decided yet. I'm loving the choice in the AB book but would like to get some of the others too before deciding. Three octave scales are interesting... my A starts lovely then reaches the top sounding like a frightened piglet.

Oooh I like a bit of Dancla.

I won't be doing grade 5, but I just wanted to wish you all the best with it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/goodLuck.gif) And it's really nice to see you back here - it's been quite a while.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) my A scales are much the same-the first two octaves are quite nice, then become rather squealish (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

Yuck...had my exam today, went pretty horribly to be honest (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) I imagine I will be taking it again, most likely.
