I do hope that your candidate's work are at least willing to put in writing that they are refusing to let her have the time off work so that she can can apply for a refund of the exam fee.
I know it doesn't really make up for not taking the exam but at least it would be something. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) |

Yes, that is a good point. Definitely worth asking.
Still, sorry to hear they will not play ball, Seer Green. |

Yes, that is a good point. Definitely worth asking. Still, sorry to hear they will not play ball, Seer Green. It's a shame that the employer doesn't appear to value adult education. What is such a shame is that the pupil is already working way above and beyond what should be expected of them but it seems totally different when the boot's on the other foot. |

So sorry, S_G (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
We heard nothing back from the Board having requested a small(ish) change in our Standard Visit. This now means little moi and the other accompanist will be running between two sites (the Senior and Junior schools are several miles apart) over 2 days. Too long-winded to go into here and now, but thanks a bunch, AB. We really appreciate it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) Bah-HumBag x |

This is a different issue to the others in this thread but still disappointingly poor service.
Youngest son took Gd 6 singing at a special visit 3 weeks ago and we were waiting and waiting, found out all the other teachers had had their results days ago, I rang and got told the result had been held because they could not verify his Gd 5 theory status. This was my fault! I had put him down his shortened first name not the full version (think Nick instead of Nicholas) - silly me! But why had they not emailed me and asked? Made a phone call? Used some initiative and checked his name and birth date?? All resolved quicky but STILL! |

I had the same issue with one of mine - not able to verify Grade 5 theory, but I got a letter in the post before the appointments were allocated to tell me and asking me to contact them, which I did and it was sorted in about a minute. |
