Can anyone recommend a good (short!!) book or website to help my Grade 6 theory pupil with ornamentation? I've got the stuff I used at university but it's too in-depth. The blue ABRSM guide (Eric Taylor) is ok but a bit dry!

Interesting that this is now only required at Grade 6 - I remember learning it all for Grade 5.

You need to be able to recognise the standard ornaments at Grade 5, but at Grade 6 they require deeper knowledge - different styles of trill according to period etc. This kind of knowledge would be best acquired by playing, obviously, but theoretical help would be useful too.
