im doing my grade 5 pieces, this year set i think, well their the ones in the purple books so. yeah, well ive got my section A and B pieces underway, and im enjoying playing them and theyre going well. the problem is with the C section. im trying to do C3, which is a jazz piece and im not to good with it, and am finding it really hard, but my teacher doesnt think i will like any of the other pieces. i was just wondering wat other people were playing for grade 5 part C and how you are finding it.

:(

Hi!

I'm doing grade 5 this year too and I picked C1 because I picked B2 and an alternative piece for A.

it's quite all right I think but I am practising like mad on the fast section! I'm just not a 'chordy' person :P

All my Grade 5 students have picked New Orleans Nightfall. It's not too difficult. Have you heard it?

I didn't know you could choose alternate peices besides the ones already listed in the book.
