Dear Everyone

Just to let you know that the total raised for the Stephanie Marks Appeal stands tonight at £262.62. Which I think is absolutely terrific.

All that - and we had a fantastic day.

And thanks to everyone who was party to the card and the flowers I was given at the end - I am really touched by that. And I was moved by the messages in my envelope - thanks to Amber for setting those up, and to all the rest of you for writing messages.

As some of you know, I was also sent a bouquet by ABRSM! It almost brought tears to my eyes! What a day! What a party! What shall I sing next time.... :)

Thanks again for everything

Cheers

Katyjay

You must be wondering what to do with your time now, Katyjay! Have you started on the next concert yet? (I'll just get out of firing range). Seriously, it was great - thank you.

The next concert will be started upon.....once I've got a few other things sorted out. Like the Leith Hill Music Festival next weekend (Bach St Matthew Passion at Dorking Halls on Sunday evening, conducted by Brian Kay, going to be absolutely excellent :D ). And my main choir's Spring concert (mid-April) at which I'm one of the soloists, so I really ought to start learning my solos  ....One or possibly two different performances of Carmina Burana  ....... maybe start working on a recital of my very own :o ....Oh yes, and just possibly fitting some employment in too!

In the mean time, StuMac it would be great if you did get an event going in Scotland. Please let me know if you need any help :) .

And what about the folks in/around Manchester (who posted on the original "Just a thought" thread) who wanted something nearer home? Anyone up there want to take it on?

I'm dithering over doing something for Voices for Hospices day on the 8th October - depends if there's anything else happening locally for that event.

By the way, SilverPianist, thanks. Can't PM at the moment.

Cheers

Katyjay

ps - seriously, how soon do we want another one "down south"? This time next year? In the autumn? A fortnight's time? - Please let me know what you think.

Hi Everyone, I've been reading the posts about the concert with some interest. I'm full of admiration for all the performers and organisation and supporters. Sounds like it was a wonderful concert......and ............it's made me want to play at the next concert.. (my teacher will be shocked!!!).that can only be a good thing since I'm terribly nervous but think that the supportive audience can only give me confidence.

Well done everyone!

4-6 months apart?
Suspect anything more frequent will give poor organiser the collywobbles ;)

A summer concert perhaps? A few months lead time might give us time to put together some duets...

She's had the collywobbles for the last two-and-a-bit months! Why should she stop now?

Amber very kindly organised feedback envelopes for the performers, into which people put messages telling you what they thought of your performance.

Cheers

Well, I am kind of stuck in the middle, in the Midlands, but I would love to perform in a concert if it isn't just for Adult Learners'!
