This prob. sounds so daft but I would really love to hear everyone's opinions on beginner piano books. I fear that I am getting too stuck in a rut with the one which I seem to use a lot.

I really would love to know what you are all using and for which situations.- ie a beginner of 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 etc?

I'm not a teacher, but I've just seen this thread in this forum so I thought that I'd add my question here. :)

I'm 17, almost 18, and took piano lessons almost seven years ago, when I was in year 5 and 6 at primary school. While I don't remember much of it, I remember a little, and have been seized by the desire over the past few months to take up piano again. What book would you recommend?

What book would you recommend?

If its like a refresher course you want, ABC Short Tutor by Cuthbert Harris might do. Or an Adult Piano Book. THe books you used when you were 9 or 10 would be too easy and too slow for you now.

Aurora Fairy, have a look at Carol Barratt's Classic Piano course.

I've found it good for adult beginners and re-starters.
