I am a fifteen year student who is also a tuba player. I have realised that the tuba is very big instrument and it can get very heavy on your lap so for a project for school I am going to make a stand for the tuba to be rested on both while the tuba is being played but also to be rest on the ground while your not playing. I realise that you can place it on the bell but there is always the chance of damaging the instrument. So could you tell me
1. Are there any products out like this at the moment 2. If this product was created how much would you be willing to spend on it 3. Is there a particular material you would prefer for it to be made out of (eg wood) Thank you for you time and also any links to music shops or useful websites would be appreciated. Stuart |

It sounds like a very good idea.
I've just googled and found one at $99. It's at http://www.wwbw.com/Konig-and-Meyer-Tuba--Stand-i79620.music There were a few other sites too. I know nothing about the tuba btw, I'm a pianist! Good luck! |
