Hello
I'm Russian piano teacher with high education. Start to teach in UK privately. People call me and ask can I prepare children for exams.
I don't know system here. Do I need to be registered with ABRSM or not?
Can you give me advice what do I need to do or how do you apply for exams for your students?
Thanks a lot!

You only need to be registered with ABRSM to enter students for exams, not to teach privately. For your first entry, all you need to do is complete an entry form and post it to the board. You will then recieve an applicant number. If you want to enter candidates online select online entry form on ABRSM homepage and you can register from there.

Its the very first page you see when you log on to ABRSM. On the right hand side of the page there's an item on music medals, and the online entry form is just above it. I'm sure a 'search' would find it for you too.
