I was wondering how far, although with the traffic jam situation, how long the journey takes might be a more realistic measure, everyone travels to get to their teacher of choice for a lesson.
I have a weekly lesson and the trip there takes about 35mins.( 1 hr 15 min round trip for a one hour lesson  ) It is quite a way but a motorway route almost all the way so fairly easy driving ( says my Mum) I wonder who goes the furthest?? |

I walk to my lesson and it takes about 12 minutes if I get to the two sets of traffic lights at the right time!

Flute - 10 minutes drive.
Piano - 15 minutes drive. Singing - anything from 30 minutes depending on the traffic on the M3/M25 and how many times I go round the loop at the Egham junction. ;) |

About half an hour (maybe more, maybe less, depends on traffic) for flute lessons, and my piano teacher comes to me :)

My clarinet teacher lives 35 miles away, so it's a 70 mile round trip on a Saturday for me!

My violin lessons are in the school building during or just after lessons. School is under 4 minutes walk from my house. The music house is even closer.

Singing - other side of town - 10 minutes (ish)
Piano - next village - 5 minutes (ish) Violin - depends on whether at my place or hers, and on whether it's the rush hour. Has been about 35 minutes inclusive of traffic jam. Recorder - Depends how long I have to wait for Andante to get lost at Egham junction before she arrives at my house ;) Cheers Katyjay |

About an hour each way, I think it is about 30 miles each way.
