Jane, d'ya think we could get Maxim do do some of the Shosti for us in here?

He already is...there is a concert hall attached over there on the left...hurry, the overture is just finishing and the concerto is about to start. And look, there are seats on the front row laugh.gif

Ooh, I'm sure I saw an advert for this concert. Isn't it the one with Dmitri wub.gif singing in the second half? <pulls on most flattering party frock and takes seat in front row>

anacrusis, you know me - if there are bubbles going... biggrin.gif
Boo Radley
I don't think Dmitri Shostakovich will be in a fit state to sing Debs, he's 100 this year but ain't looking to good for his age! tongue.gif
Deborah
No Boo no - not Dmitri Shostakovich, Dmitri Hvorostovsky wub.gif

*hands out unusually generous glasses of bubbles* somewhat slow, sorry, but I'd got distracted by Google earth and a daughter traumatised by last night's Doctor Who.

Beanbags, what a great idea *collapses*

walking is powerfully relaxing.

Who wants to take a stroll with me down that tranquil, tree-lined pavement?
Boo Radley
I'll come! I spy a banana and cinnamon pancake tree at the end! smile.gif
janexxx
Ohhh yes please...look the blossom is out and it smells so lovely
Anastasia
No one? Awwww
Is walking really that ennui-inducing for most people? unsure.gif ?

janexxx, oh I really appreciate your accompaniment!!!!
I was about to walk away

Yes , the blossoms are lovely, by the way

Boo Radley, I'll pick one for you to swap with your cinnamon pancake
cheeble
I'll come for a walk with you Anastasia!
Boo Radley
I said I'd come too Anastasia - see above. I love a good walk, especially when it's delicately fragranced by banana and cinnamon pancake trees! biggrin.gif
janexxx

Virtually or really??

Ahh there's the juice fountain...I'll just have a glass of carrot and orange to set me up for the day. Strange how it always becomes the flavour you want.
jod
Needed the chill out so much, that I've just spent a week in bed with a migaine. I'm finding the quieter darkened corner of the chill out room, getting a glass of carrot, bettroot and apple juice from the juice fountain, whilst listenening to some lovely English String Music. The Orchestra you've hired to perform the Fantasia on a theme of Thomas Tallis by Vaughan Williams are great, and they've agreed to play Elgar's Introduction and Allegro next, and are promising Peter Warlock's Capriol Suite after that. If I twist their arm, they may even play some Malcolm Arnold...

And the pancake mob have just made the most amaxzng waffles with sweet chestnut puree toppings, delicious.
Boo Radley
*gets massive glass of pineapple, guava, apple, orange, coconut, banana, kiwi, grapefruit, passionfruit, lemon, lime and mango juice from fountain to wash down the hot cheese and onion toasted sandwich from the toastie tree* cool.gif

both! smile.gif the virtual roses came from Anastasia - they smell beautiful, thanks! and they're sitting over by the jacuzzi.

the real ones... well I've been first-year rep along with another girl on the college JCR Exec for most of the year, but she is now leaving to go to MIT on an exchange next year, so we have to have a by-election to replace her, so that's all been happening over the past week. one of the candidates came to talk to me about what the job involves and I proof-read his manifesto and speech... and he bought me some flowers and a card to say thank you!

you'll be pleased to know that he did indeed get elected smile.gif hurray!

*wanders over to fountain to guzzle some guava juice*
janexxx
Wooo double roses. Aren't you lucky, and good your friend got elected. Maybe its not luck, maybe its because you're just a special friend biggrin.gif

Anyone for a quiet restrained and relaxing celebration. I just found out the lump in my breast I found last week was a cist...BIG RELIEF!!!! Had it drained this morning and now its GONE FOREVER!!!!

*jumps in jacuzzi to celebrate and unwind after very stressful week*

Oddball
Jane - that it marvellous news.

*Takes advantage of the hot tub*
Boo Radley
Indeed that is great news Jane, I think that deserves some celebration! smile.gif *runs over to the raspberry champagne tree and grabs a few magnums*
Deborah
Hooray! Jane's horrible cyst has gone forever! I'll drink to that!
andante_in_c
