With exams approaching for many, and after reading the posts in yesterdays CISD I have commissioned the ABRSM forum builders to create an annex on the cafe. Its open for business from today. Inside here you will find...
a selection of spray mists to create various healing, huggy, calming atmospheres. Just choose your mist and spray
Massage tables where expert masseuses will work on your body to relieve areas of tension. Especially useful are the resident reflexologists, the neck and shoulder experts and the ayerverdic masseuses
soothing music (NOT muzak) especially programmed for you and miraculously different for each person in the room
Plenty of hot coffee, chocolate, tea and herbal infusions which are especially treated to have the effect of the real thing but do not add any calories or bad health effects of caffeine
For the adults, a selection of stronger drinks which have the calming effect of a long gin, a scotch, or even the enlivening of best bubbly again without any of the bad health effects often associated with such drinks. Hey if there are no bad health effects then there is no reason to limit these to the adults!!!
Lots of luxurious loungers where you can lie back and relax and just soak up the atmosphere
Healing atmosphere for anyone who feels or is poorly, colds and flu will disappear, and anyone with any illness at all will benefit from the healing effects in this special room.
And best of all great positive company where you can offload all your stress and pressure to friendly ears and get the absolute best advice for coping.
Well I'm just off to the steamer for the next few minutes, and after that I think I will have a massage...mmmm
Is this the cafe spa room!
Exams or no with two children the need to unwind is essential. Now for a lovely cup of green tea - high in antioxidants, low in caffiene and a dose of Vaughan Williams Serenade to music.
Have they built the Jacuzzi yet?

Hey everyone, don't think I've got time to get in the hot tub (sadly, in the middle of a Chemistry lesson) but I thought I needed a break from this coursework

*helps herself to chocolate*

May 3 2006, 11:19 AM
I can play the first one on the fife - but the accidentals are a bit dodgy!
Hmmm, *thinks* how about I play them on this waterproof flute? That'll work better *plays Nielsen romance*

May 3 2006, 11:25 AM
Oh I love the Ravel quartet, and the Faure... I guess we can all listen to what we want??

So, who did you hire for 1st violin....?
janexxx
May 3 2006, 11:26 AM
Well I thought about the Emersons, or the Lindsays but well eye candy would be good.
How about VFV on 1st the Capucon brothers on 2nd and cello, and who shall we have on viola? Maybe you would like to join in Sarah?
Sting quartet sounds great, can they play Schubert Death and the Maiden?
This hot tub is lovely, and I love the virtual champagne, tastes just like verve cliquot brut.
I've just imagined some smoked salmon canapes. Does anyone want to share them?
sarah-flute
May 3 2006, 11:28 AM
I think I'd rather listen for the moment - maybe later

what a line-up to play with hehehe...

Hehe, I expect so. He isn't round to protest at the moment so I think we can imagine him into the line up for now at least!

*lies back in the hot tub to enjoy the music and admire the musicians

The waiter has just arrived with a large platter of king prawns and some chilli dipping sauce to follow the canapes.
Music is great BTW

Of course!

Now there's a thought, if I raise the entrance fee by one pound (to the dizzy heights of £2.50

) we could all have a nice Cornish Cream Tea!

*drools*
ps. Jane, instead of annex, why don't you call it a jannexx

Ohh Brilliant idea. Cornish cream tea sounds Fab. Do you mash the tea in Cornwall??
Boo Radley
May 3 2006, 12:08 PM
I have never tried mashed tea but you're all welcome to bring your mashers!

I have to leave now, but my viola will probably take my place in the jacuzzi, see y'all later!

I didn't have such a good day today. Everything was going ok til Music, then we had a feedback lesson for coursework, and all my coursework needs refining and I need to do 2 more variations by Friday. I then played the flute awfully, and got so annoyed, which must have been visible as both my friend and the Music teacher noticed. I was on the verge of crying with frustration....I hate how I think.
On the positive side, I got a letter from Andy today...and that is about the only plus point I can think of.
