Dear All,
If you wish to know what the exam fees are, please contact your nearest honorary local representative just select your country from the list on this page
http://www.abrsm.org/?page=regions and select
"Representatives" from the top of the left hand menu bar.
Alternatively, UK applicants can contact our London office.
Click here for a list of contacts. They're also provided on your application form if you're a UK applicant or on the fees leaflet, available from your country representative if you live outside of the UK.
While we're on the subject however, I'd like to take the opportunity to address the issue of publishing exam fees on abrsm.org, to explain why we currently don't have this information available online and to let you know what we are trying to do about it.
Currently we do not publish exam fees on the website. We are trying to find a way to do so - on a country by country basis in an attempt to keep things as uncomplicated for you all as possible.
As I'm sure you're all aware the Associated Board offers:
- 8 levels of practical graded exams
- 8 levels of graded theory exams
- several different types of diploma
- jazz piano
- jazz horns
- jazz ensembles
- Music Medals
- Practical Musicianship assessments
- general ensembles
amongst others, which is a lot of information to present in one place.
There is then the additional fact that the majority of the above listed assessments are offered in over 93 countries throughout the world - which means that we have to convert and list the costings for ALL the above exams into the various national currencies!
We think it would be best therefore to offer exam costs on a country by country basis so that you can immediately see the ones that are relevant to you rather than having to sift through reams of data.
I will keep all users informed of any progression that is made on this. Thank you to all who have raised the issue both now and in the past. It's through your feedback that we learn what you really want and can improve the website to better suit your needs.
Best regards
Christine Morris
