he hee hee... the danger with this is that, for all you know, i could be giving you the translation of "i am a banana" or something.
but the rough equivalent is "ek is tot die dood toe verveeld" - i am bored to death. not sure that afrikaans people ever say that they are bored out of their heads... but a literal translation is "ek is uit my kop uit verveeld".

What kind of job will you be looking for?
littlelady87
Nov 7 2007, 12:00 PM
I don't know yet.
I currently work in publishing but there are not too many publishing companies where I live! A couple of friends are going to put in a good word for me at their work, so I may end up as a secretary or something. The most important thing to me is that it is close to home so that I avoid the extortionate travel prices (am saving up to buy a house) and so that I don't end up getting home so late, for personal reasons.
Anyway. Are you a town mouse or a country mouse?
DaisyChain
Nov 7 2007, 12:16 PM
I live in the town, but having just been in Wales, I want to live in the countryside..where it's quiet..with no traffic...no hustle and bustle..
(am currently suffering from The Grass Is Greener Syndrome).
