There you go! I read your earlier posts....

Rather pathetically - when I re-watched "The Sound of Music" (film) with the kids for the first time since my teens - I couldn't stop blubbing during and after the scene where the captain re-discovers music with his kids.....oh, there I go again.....
DaisyChain
Ahhh...I always blub at the end of "Whistle Down the Wind" where the two girls say "Have we missed him then?" And Hayley Mills says "Yes, but he'll come again." There I go too.... sad.gif Here, have a tissue....

Who will by my sweet red roses? Two blooms for a penny.
LooneyTunes
*sniffle* thanks for the tissue

Could you pass Phil a rose from me if you catch him tomorrow, DC? I'll try and pop in if I can but I'm due at work....

Ah, that's better. I can post the next question now.

Have you ever radically changed careers; if so, why?
DaisyChain
Yes..left working for the Metropolitan Police in New Scotland Yard in 1984 to work as a Nursing Auxilliary in our local "Mental Handicap" Hospital. Took a big pay cut, and took on shifts and weekend work, but wanted to do more than be a "pen pusher". Have loved it (most of the time!) ever since.

Are you happy in your work?

**I'll try, though I don't think he's here much at weekends.**
SarahSax1986
Yes, I am biggrin.gif

Can you think of any questions to ask?
DaisyChain
Err...it's getting more difficult... unsure.gif

Were you ever a cub/scout/brownie/guide/ranger?

**I told you!** rolleyes.gif
LooneyTunes
DC, you're obviously incredibly dedicated and I admire that.

Happy? It took me a while to find my feet and find an area that suited what I envisaged for my future, so I tried a few jobs before ending up were I am now. I'm very happy now - job suits me and my family - short commute....some difficult personalities obviously (usually of the cutting variety) but most of my colleagues are great and saying 'no' usually keeps things in check!

And I was a Brownie - but not for very long (difficult to keep to the code)

Do you have a soul-mate? (edit: or found one and lost one, or believe in them at all?)
DaisyChain
I thought I had one...and then I hadn't... now I'm not sure.... I definitely believe in them though.

Do you ever get the feeling no-one is listening to a word you say? unsure.gif

**Not sure about dedicated! Thank you, anyway xx I just found I had a natural affinity for people with LD! Can't wait to start my new job!** party1.gif
