Lemon curd (home made - not the nasty luminous yellow gunk you can get in supermarkets)

Depends. For lunch, strong cheddar cheese. For breakfast nothing but butter.

Marmite, peanut butter or if I need something to cheer me up then copious amounts of chocolate spread
And I have to agree, you CANNOT have butter and peanut butter at the same time.

So true - you can't have butter and peanut butter on toast together!
Butter on warm toast. Peanut butter on cold toast.
Like KatyJay - sometimes cheese - the stronger the better!
Chocolate spread for special occasions (like when I can afford it

) But then I usually end up eating it with a spoon before it gets on the toast!

Chocolate spread for special occasions
Well, if we're talking special occasions, it has to be clotted cream and proper strawberry or raspberry jam

My absolute favourite is strawberry jam and mustard. Yes, together.

Bovril - now that it's started being produced with beef extract again instead of that revolting yeast extract!
And Wilkin's Loganberry jam

Marmite, very thickly, with no butter.
Does jam and mustard really work well together Petra? Well, I'll try anything once.....

Yes, it really does. Put the jam on first, strawberry is definitely the best, and then a thin layer of english mustard. It's like sweet and sour toast. Try it and report back. It could start a new craze.

A scrape of butter and a scrape of Marmite. "Too much spoils the flavour."

No, I have eaten it since I was very little. Welsh dragons live on mountain mist and cheese!
