I still feel bad. Didn't go in to school today. Had to go in for parents evening though. Had one of those dreadful nights where you wake up before your alarm...look at the clock and it's 3.45 AM

I'm in that strange situation now where I
want to be woken up by my alarm...

Lurgi no: feel grotty definately. In the middle of major Fibromyalgia flareup that is affecting the whole of my pelvis. The pain is so extreme I'm on fentanyl patches + paracetamol + ibuprofen. A cold would be pleasant in comparision.

Oh good, at least paracetamols and ibuprofen can be taken at the same time.

That's rough. In my case its paracetamol ibuprofen and fentanyl that leaves me in a position where I can sit up for some of the time. Standing isn't too bad and thank goodness for memory foam because at least I can lie down.

Did you get bitten by a tick? I remember once finding a tick in my leg and ringing the doctor, and he told me to come straight in as an emergency - I felt a complete fraud going straight into his surgery past all the queues of coughing, spluttering, sneezing patients who were waiting for their appointments.......... Fortunately I didn't catch anything from that little b****r but at least the doctor taught me how to take a tick out without leaving any bits behind..........nasty things - I take great delight in stomping on them, drowning them, squashing them, burning them etc when I've taken them off the real cd..........

yes, it was from a tick. I'm quite used to getting ticks because I supervise D uke of Edinburgh Expeds all the time, and last year I worked on the Isle of Raasay which was quite bad for ticks. This one I knew, I had left the head in when I took it out, then I got flu and felt a bit rotten so went and told the Dr I had Lymes disease - he didnt beleive me but I did convince him to take blood and do the tests and he felt a bit bad when they came back possitive.

If I had a tick on me, I wouldn't be able take it off becuse I hate things that are or look like insects. I can't even touch a spider (it lookes like a insect)

It is quite disgusting yes, especially when they have just recently gone in and when you touch it the little back legs wiggle.
I always took them out by twisting them clockwise then pulling and had no trouble prior to this but my dogs vet (they seem to know more than the Dr!) said that you should suffocate them by putting vaseline over them and they will off, or intoxicate them with a tissue covered in alcohol.
