I'm sure Affrey will do his best and although he may not be quite fast enough at the sharp end, he is at least beautiful and good natured.

That saved me a bit of time Daisy!

That just left WOOD CHORUS which won at poor odds of 8-15 on favourite.
Oh , and NAUGHTY FRIDA won also at good odds of 16-1 .

Yes, sorry, I meant to post on here earlier - the trainer decided against running him as the ground has dried up very quickly and the going was firm which gives poor Affrey sore shins.
Hopefully he'll be out again soon.

fsharp you are very good to do this onerous task every morning - especially as there is so much racing nowadays - so many horses in training. Maybe the credit crunch and recession will have an effect on this - it'll be interesting to see what happens at the yearling sales this year. The breeze-up sales in the spring were very strong, but a lot can happen between now and the autumn.
Anyway, Affrey comes out tomorrow at Yarmouth - Robert Havlin rides. He's running over a mile this time, so maybe he'll improve over a longer trip. (Or maybe not!)

No luck at Yarmouth unfortunately. Affrey didn't see any daylight and every time a gap appeared it quickly shut again. Also, he didn't seem to be concentrating very hard - the trainer said he'll try a visor next time.
