My local church fete has been given (anonymously) two 120 bass piano accordions – one is Lombardi and the other Amica. Both have pearl effect finish, look old fashioned, have good leather clasps; the bellows are intact, and they sound reasonable to me, but it is 40 years since I played an accordion and do not feel I am a good judge.
My question is: should we just sell them in the fete (probably for £20.00) or try and sell them elsewhere?
There is a Lomdardi for sale on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Italian-Lombar...8QQcmdZViewItem but the only bid at the moment is 0.99$ and it closes after the fete.
Following from a previous thread, I have had a look on the Hobgoblin site and they have a number of secondhand accordions, both German and Italian but none with those names. They seem to be in the £500.00 price range whereas new Italian accordions are between £1500-5000.
The fete is on Sunday, so I need to be able to say - get what you can for them, or hold on and try elsewhere.
