Hi folks
Quick question:
I've got a dyslexic 10 year old pupil who really struggles with reading music.
Can anyone recommend a beginners book which might be suitable for him?
Any suggestions would be very welcome! smile.gif
Thanks!

Something with nice clear bold print.
The staves shouldn't be so far apart that it's hard to read them together.
Glossy pages are hard to read if there is light shining awkwardly on them

I could be wrong but I don't think it's the size of the print that's the problem for dyslexics: It's the fact of it being print at all. Personally I would have thought that dyslexics are one group that I would be highly tempted to teach to play almost entirely by ear and/or by demonstration (but maybe that's just poor teaching technique on my part).
