Has anyone tried or owned a Petrof baby grand PV? What do you think of it? Thx happy.gif

Nope, but I know where you will find people who have.
If nobody here can help you, there is the US-based "pianoworld" forums (just type it into google).

My favourite pianos have all been German so far.

I had a Petrof Boudoir grand, and it was a wonderful instrument - I absolutely loved it. I have a Petrof upright now (modern) and I love that too, but nothing can replace my lovely grand - I cried when I had to part with it (moved and didn't have a big enough room for it.). Have you got one, or are you thinking of buying one?

Thanks for your info. I've tried it there at Pianoworld but didn't seem to have any reply. mellow.gif
That's why I decided to give this forum a try. I suppose not a lot of people would consider a baby grand since its action and touch are no better than grands larger than 6 ft. If I would have a more spacious house, I would definitely go for a larger one. But at the moment, it's mission impossible! Nevermind! Thz again for your advise. happy.gif

Thanks soooo much for sharing your wonderful memory of once having a Petrof grand. What a pity that you have parted with it! I've already placed some deposit for it. As my house is not spacious enough to accomodate a Petrof PIV, I have no choice as to go for a Petrof PV. Plus, the dealer shop does not have a display for me to try out soooo I am anxious to know how its action and tone are like. I've tried the PIV and liked it sooo much. As a matter of fact, they do have one PV and it's the only one around but still in container. I will get to try it when it's delivered to my house in two weeks. I have tried lots of other brands like Boston, Yamaha, Seiler, Sauter, Fazioli, etc. Either they are too dear or their action and touch are pretty stiff or blurry. Petrof is just right! But not sure about the PV version. Hopefully, it will be similar to the PIVs. Anyway, thanks again! I do hope you will be able to get a grand again someday! Best Wishes!

That surprises me. Usually people on there are willing to debate pros and cons of various pianos ad nauseam.
Anyway congratulations on your new piano, I hope it gives you many years of pleasure.
