Slugs could be a bit slippery to step on and you might slip over

At least with snails the shell will help provide some friction so much safer

I was thinking more along the lines of slugs would squidge along over your foot, which would just be disgusting lol ill.gif
Maizie
But snails are much nicer to pick up by the shell, whereas slugs are not something I have any desire to touch. And snails are far more satisfying to lob over the fence, you can hear them clatter through the trees on the other side which doesn't happen with slugs.

So far it's been fiddle with viola (fiddle in the sense of muck around, not the instrument), try playing viola with violin bow and violin with viola bow. Have come to the conclusion that they seem to sound best with the bows swapped round. wacko.gif Now, will probably contemplate having lunch.

We are clearing out my late mother-in-law's flat, making preparations to sell it. My brother-in-law lives up that way, and is currently on gardening leave, so he is doing the bulk of the work, the star.
Yesterday, he was clearing out the garage - it contained loads more empty boxes [anything that ever came in a box, keep the box], three broken lawn mowers, and lots of other bits of rubbish.
At the very back of the garage, he came across a shoebox. Opened it up, and it had layers of tissue paper on the top. Ooooooooh, what long forgotten gem could this be?
So he unwrapped the tissue paper to reveal...the complete skeleton of a hedgehog. Clearly it'd been tucked away to hibernate, and the completely forgotten!

We found it terribly funny in a terribly sad kind of way. Actually, I think it must have never woken up from hibernation, otherwise it would have at least tried to nibble its way out of the cardboard box/tissue paper, so that's a bit less sad than it being trapped and forgotten.

Now, why did I agree to having a go at the bassoon part in our holiday orchestra thingy, when they say you have to be grade 6 or above? I only applied to play the clarinet there because my friend persuaded me I'd be fine. I wasn't. huh.gif Then, it turned out there wasn't a bassoonist, so guess what my clarinet teacher suggests?
They are trying to contact some people who might actually be able to play it - but personally I think it's all impossible - even the 2nd clarinet parts! All the demisemiquavers make me actually look like this clarinet.gif (red in the face wacko.gif)

I did some baking this morning - choux buns, last time I made them they were perfect. This time they turned into a stodgy horrible mess (I think it's probably do to the different temperature control in my dad's state of the art fan assisted oven and my temperamental old fashioned gas oven). The buns ended up in the bin - I've now got a mix of whipped cream, raspberries and white chocolate that I prepared as a filling to find something to do with.

Choux buns can be very temperamental. I made profiteroles once and had to make them twice as the first time they were just flat. We have a gas oven too, I was amazed when I first used a fan oven! No turning it on twenty minutes before you want it.

Could you use that filling as a filling for a sponge cake?
