I stopped for petrol this evening and found that they had Cadbury's Creme eggs plus another type of Easter egg on sale in the shop. Surely they could at least have waited till after New year. I was tempted to put this in the scream thread. sad.gif

I saw them in the shops in mid-December...

I think creme eggs are just sold year round now. I don't even see them as an easter thing - since I was about thirteen they've just been in the chocolate section all year. smile.gif

It does drive me mad when other Easter things are out so early though!
flobiano
The "official" Creme Egg season is 1st January to 4th April - they should not be on sale outside that period. tongue.gif

I can't believe I actually looked that up on the internet.....it is definitely time to go to bed! sad.gif

I'll guess that with Easter late in 2011, the season will last a little longer as compared to 2010...

If your wireless router keeps dropping connections, try changing the channel it broadcasts on before assuming the router is dead. That is what the friendly person on the other end of the tech support hotline told me to do, and it worked a treat - he said that if you live in an area where there are a lot of routers "competing" for the same frequency, this can happen.

I'll tell my Dad that as our router/internet connection is just not behaving.

I just remembered one other thing he told me: you must also change the wireless network name because otherwise the computer will save settings under the old one, and never retry on the new channel.

Good luck!

It's usually quavers, rather than crotchets that are considered "swung", but if you want to make your crotchets swing you put the emphasis on beats 2 and 4, so I'm guessing that to make them straighter you want the emphasis on beats 1 and 3.

I can't crochet at all. Or, rather, I can never remember how to crochet. If I have the instructions in front of me I can do it, and for a short while after that I'll be OK, but at some point I'll completely forget what I'm supposed to do sad.gif

Yes, crochet is what I meant!
Not sure how to turn, each row therefore is a different length so if I try to make a square it ends up a very peculiar shape.

According to my book, you use extra chains to turn - but the number of chains you use depends on what stitch your using.

double crochet - 1 turning chain
half treble crochet - 2 turning chains
treble crochet - 3 turning chains
double treble crochet - 4 turning chains.

(according to the book I have ph34r.gif)

Hoovering the vents of your laptop can result in a considerable decrease in CPU temperature (85 degrees to 71 for me). This may not make a difference to most people, but if you do anything more CPU-intensive than browsing the ABRSM forum, it makes it a lot more comfortable having it on your lap..
