An A clarinet is definitely longer than a Bb, but I don't know the dimensions I'm afraid. You could give Howarths a ring and ask them perhaps?

Hi There - My Bb clari is 595mm (23.5in) and the A clari is 630mm (24.8in).
Also, for A clarinets, you usually find that the serial number begins (or ends) with an 'A'.
Hope that's of some use and good luck with the bidding.

Cheers -D-
