This is a bit random but does anyone know of any summer schools/summer courses that specilise in like the background/history of the different styles of music? Or the theory/anaylsis of music?
If not, does anyone know of any good summer courses for chamber music/orchestras..?
Thanks.

I went to Canford Summer School last year and although they specialise in conducting and choral stuff their orchestra courses are really good too (they don't do theory and history of music I don't think). And Sherbourne is apparently the prettiest village in England! Have a look on google.

Um Pro Corda (I attend) is good in all areas not sure if it fits your description. It specialises in Chamber Music. We also study Musicianship, Orchestra, Choir, Dalcroze Eurithymics (not sure on spelling). You have to audition. You attend the course at a place called Leiston Abbey and there are different courses for different ages and abilities. Link: Pro Corda

LDSM is also a good one mostly for children, teens. That is held in the Lake District in Windemere. Again not sure if this fits your description. Link: LDSM anyway, worth the look.
Hope you find what you're looking for somewhere.
