If what I found using google is correct it's a lot of people getting together to sing 'Land of Hope and Glory'. Incidentally, Elgar disapproved of those words being put to his Pomp and Circumstance March No. 1: quite an unfortunate thing for an Elgarathon!

i had to organise it at my school last year... but it was worth all the stress and tears because about 200 people turned up and i ended up conducting with a magic wand!!!!
quite a lot of my non-musical friends turned up... they don't play instruments and they didn't want to sing, so we had a 20-people strong triangle ensemble as well as the orchestra!
