has anyone a good list of what to listen for in order to recognise the different periods of music. It 's not always easy to recognise the difference between late baroque, for example, and early classical.

Yes, I have a broad list that I compiled for a student last year. If I can find it (if!!) I'll post it for you.

Hi ................ I found some notes that I made for one of my students a year or two back, but they are not detailed enough to answer your question, and are much too general to be of much use to you, - they were probably written for a lower grade. Sorry!

There is about 10 pages in the Grade 6 pupils book 'Aural Time!' by David Turnbull, which I have found very useful. Like the AB Aural Training book, this one also comes with a CD of nearly 100 Grade 6 examples, including typical questions and points to look out for in section D.

Hope this helps. smile.gif
