Just came back from the flute exam today. Actually, that was completely satisfying. I made a few mistakes, but funnily in those places, were I still had some trouble with. So, no complain here. I made a very stupid mistake in my solo piece. But the two accompanied ones were absolutely fine. Sightreading and Aural was quite fine, too. Something in between distinction and merit, I would guess, depending on how many points those mistakes actually cost me.

I made a new experience. I was getting more nervous by the minute, although I started completely calm into the first piece. And with each note I became more anxious. Thats a new variation of nerves in my case.

But the examiner was a very decent one. Whatever I get, I think I earned it. I am just curious which one of the two and how close it will be.

Well, and I know what I am going to start with next: Scales, scales, scales. I have to get that stuff in my head somehow. It's like they go in .... and out.

Oh, and my flutes performed admirably. I used both. And the decision for which pieces I took which, was just the right one. However, I am glad that I have till March before I undergo that procedure again.
