Hello there, yoyo,

Please bear with me - let me get this straight: you've reached a graded exam with this in the aurals - and nor your teacher nor anyone else has primed you?
Grade 6 tests ask you:
Describe the form of the piece; what structural features did you notice? If it's a dance, what kind of dance? Decribe the texture.
What period d'you think the piece was written in. Name a possible composer.
Decribe the phrase structure, describe style - is it dance? What rhythmic feature did you notice? Was the piece chiefly in major or minor? Did the tonality change.... What period was it from (baroque, classical, romantic, 20 Century).
(copied from the G6 specimen tests)

Questions like that. . .The answers are probably on the internet but not in that form. You have to listen to music, know to which era/genre each composer 'belongs'.
Carries 18 marks so if you really haven't done any of this...choice is yours - get genned up quick or put the effort into something else so these few marks don't matter.
