well it's quiet at work this morning so I'll probably be floating around the forum for most of the morning. In between, mmm, maybe a spot of reading while I wait for customers......

1) Catch up on half a dozen scrabble games on f/b

2) Update my pupil register and payments spreadsheet

3) Get the bus to town to bank some cheques and renew my senior rail pass

oh, some time between now and (3) put my contact lens and my teef in.

Go home.
Once at home I will make my dinner, eat it and then head off to orchestra.

Oboe lesson tonight, and I haven't done nearly enough practice. Other things seem to have got in the way in the way in the last two weeks, so it is a minority of days that I have picked up the instrument.

I slept like the proverbial log from 11pm to 10.30am - had the most incredibly real and vivid dreams. I'm still so tired though - think maybe I could squeeze in a little nap before planning tomorrow's lessons...

Just booked them...*gulp*...no WAY am I a traveller so I'm feeling somewhat trepidatious (did I invent a word there ?) about the whole thing.

I will have SOME time to sight-see and stuff...

At least you get plenty of notice! One trip to India I had three days notice for waht amounted to a long weekend in India

Well, manic weekend is here

Yesterday: picked up 500 programmes from our print room for tomorrow's concert (they're great - they have an official mechanism for doing private print jobs)

Today: set-off for orchestra shortly. Then hotfoot it over to Nantwich (from Chester) for extra full-choir rehearsal for tomorrow's Vaughan Williams concert. There'll be 128 of us all told as my choir of 90 plus another choir we've invited to support us (lot of brass to overcome!).

Whizz home and then brother and family are coming over as we will be taking my mum out to dinner tonight (notwithstanding tomorrow, it's her birthday on Monday).

Tomorrow: dress rehearsal with orchestra at 10.00 . Concert is 3.30. Collapse in heap.

Come back to teach another pupil at 11:30
Either grab quick lunch or plan some to take with me
Teach two little girls at 12:30 and 1:00
Make sure cat food boxes are on kitchen worktop for neightbour (no she doesn't eat them, she comes in to feed the cat)
Try to explain to cat that I won't be around for a couple of days but her best friend and biggest fan will be coming in to spent some quality time with her
Catch a bus and two trains down to Kent to join husband at mother-in-law's house and back on Mondy morning

Is Spain cheaper for that, then?

I was up at 5.30am...taught all morning in the City with all the parents watching (ALWAYS stressful ), then home to teach a private group of 9-12 year olds....10 minutes off then went to teach adults on the Dalcroze Certificate Course...didn't finish teaching until 6.45pm.

Absolutely bushed.

AND it's more teaching tomorrow although not until 3pm.

BUT the clocks go back *wail*

Nooooooo....don't put your clock back...put it forward!

Oh, sugar...wishful thinking there...

get petrol then, mmmm, not sure yet

Need to make a chocolate truffle torte to take to tonight's post-concert party....

Then I'll do a bit of gardening, then head off to set up our platform boxes for the choir before the rehearsal this afternoon.
