I've been floating around the forums being nosy for a while now but since I'm actually starting to post a bit I thought I should come and say hello instead of being a registered stranger!!

I'm nearly 22 and have been learning piano since I was about 14, I had keyboard lessons in primary school, enjoyed them but hated practice for numerous reasons and gave up at the end of primary school when I could no longer have school keyboard lessons. Lucky circumstances led to me starting piano in 2003 and I have never looked back!

Just took Grade 5 for the second time this morning - full roundup is on the exams post in the students forum as I can't be bothered retyping it!!

Outside of music I like looking after young children and will hopefully be starting some form of children's work in the next few years (just got the small matter of getting a suitable qualification first!!). I'm also a Christian and love attending and being involved in church, especially my home church.

I am a mature amateur pianist who has had lots of fun and made many friends on these forums, and some of us meet together at various forum events. I am also a Christian and church organist. So get those posts coming !

I have played in church a couple of times (playing during the offering mostly) but not recently, and I probably wouldn't do anything more than that as I lead the unofficial 'flag team', and we can end up having worship flags waved during any of the songs so being in the band and on the flag team don't really go together!!
