Its Poulencs Improvisation 15 (dedicated to Edith Piaf), probably because I played it last night.
Nearly every day I get a 'stuck' tune. Often its something I played the day before.
I might play a couple of the Improvisations at the next Leeds 'do'

'Hang On, Little Tomato' by Pink Martini.
Mad Scene from Lucia di Lammermoor...
mind you I am trying to learn it, but it is pretty vexing when you wake up at three am and it's playing in your head and you know if you get up and practise you'll wake up the whole house!

The Tango from the film "Scent of a Woman". It's "Por Una Cabeza" by Carlos Gardel.
Before that it was "Send in the Clowns" after seeing Dame Judy sing it at the Proms (on TV not live unfortunately).

Nellie the Elephant. It sticks better than Step we gaily, on we go, or than McEwan's is the best beer, the best beer.....
and why?
we've been doing resuscitation training, and they give us a wee tune to do CPR to, so that we can stay in time, provide a good rhythm, and for the right number of compressions

(we've been warned that if we go for McEwan's, we should do so very quietly, in case of being overheard and misunderstood)

...and on a day you commented about my burns too, no CPR needed, but the dumb paramedic did ask why I had leaves on my jumper. Doh! It was January and I'd been rolling on the lawn to put myself out!
Nellie works a treat for CPR.
I've now got the Angel's Farewell from Gerontius. I'm playing it as a voluntary.

I regard our annual Nellie expedition as insurance against having to do CPR for real - but then working in the community that is a reasonable hope.
Fontana's sonata secunda now - some fiendish twiddly bits in it which just cascade down, and soar up...in my mind only, sadly: I can't do that myself yet.

My problem is that the tune refuses to stay in my head - it insists on coming out through my mouth, often as a whistle rather than sung. I'm usually blissfully unaware of this until a family member pleads with me to whistle/sing ANYTHING else!!

At the moment I don't have a tune stuck in my head (much to OH's relief, I should think!).

From the hymn "Herr, ich bin dein Eigentum", specifically the last part "V?terlich, f?hrst du mich auf des Lebens Wegen"
It modulates nicely from D major to A major at that point and then back again.
