Full Version: Who's signing up for Exam session C?

Baboon boy is sitting G5 singing next term. Nothing to worry about apart from the memorising but he auditioned for the NYCGB last November on two G5 pieces, and this is certainly one exam I cannot help with.

On a brighter note he cannot sit anymore bassoon exams until session C 2012 because the RCM only sit theory each June and he doesn't have grade 5 theory yet. What am I going to do with myself! wink.gif

Daughter is supposedly going for Grade 2 piano (her first on piano!) in session C. I'm getting time at work at the moment to look at theory and am tempted to do grade 7. I'll also be putting in 2 students for Grade 2 and 4 theory...busy times LOL

Grade 5 Music Theory. ohmy.gif

There's a possibility of some other stuff too - Singing (Grade to be decided) - maybe Grade 5 violin (although now the theory is getting done there's talk of skipping the actual exam and moving on to Grade 6 sometime in the New Year) - even some wild talk of a flute exam (sadly for Daughter and not for me sad.gif )

piano.gif teacher 2 is very keen on Son taking a piano exam. He can play Grade 2 pieces but his sight reading is frightful and his musical confidence is going through a slump at the moment - so I'm not at all sure.

Did I mention...? - Grade 5 Music Theory ohmy.gif ohmy.gif ill.gif

I love your posts TDM, they make me laugh so much!

Baboon boy was supposed to sit G2 piano this term but I said NO and RCM don't like them taking one in the winter term so I doubt he'll be doing that. A care free term then...for now!

Me and DS1 have RSCM Bronze Award exam in the autumn. Think I'll ask for "one of our Thursdays" for my birthday.

Elder daughter is aiming to take G8 piano at Christmas. I can foresee a stressful term coming up...

Younger one will do G5 theory - I hope - and possibly a singing exam.

Sorry MNW!!! tongue.gif

We thought that we had it all sown up by Christmas, but now it looks like Kingston Grammar entry exam may also be on the list for early January, plus Grade 5 Theory is a possibility for February. ill.gif

Does it ever end? rolleyes.gif

Is it possible to buy Valium on eBay?!!! ph34r.gif

Babboon girl might be doing grade 3. She's playing grade 2 and 3 pieces and scales at the moment, but with new bassoon teacher in the offing who knows! Just hoping she doesn't go off the boil over the summer between teachers.
Not sure when DS is hoping to do grade 7 horn, hopefully not this time next year during GCSEs. Maybe Christmas or Easter.
