Full Version: Used Pilgrim Progress - one year on
Forums > Viva Network > Viva Harp

A year ago approx I was asking for guidance in the Viva Strings forum for purchasing a transportable pedal harp for my adult daughter. And now I see there's a dedicated forum!

As she doesn't expect to play in an orchestra, my daughter narrowed the field down fairly easily to a Pilgrim Progress harp, and visited them at their factory. This proved very useful as she was then in a much better position to assess a used harp (an early Progress model) which I think was listed on their website. The harp was purchased last Autumn, and last Spring, after the probationary period, it was serviced by Pilgrim's roving technician. This proved worthwhile as several strings were replaced, and the mechanism was then made quieter, and easier to use. My daughter also reported an improvement in tone following the new strings.

And thanks for the guidance offered

Probably not, but as we have a second-hand Pilgrim Progress too, I wasn't one of them!
