I hired Peregrine Pianos, in Farringdon (London WC1) back in November 2011 for a run-through of my diploma programme - it was a good experience

Would anyone working towards a diploma this year be interested if I was to hire the same venue for a couple of hours or so one Saturday daytime in June and another in November, to do a shared recital? I'll do my best on the rent-an-audience front! Profit would go to a charity of your choice. Would be able to fit two people in each slot.

Possibly, depending on dates although my programme isn't ready for full performance yet. June is a few months away though...

What sort of length of recital would be required?

It's the sort of thing I'd love to do: I need a deadline to give me a shove to do some work - however, I'm only just embarking on material, would probably need two years to learn enough for a whole dip recital, and am well aware that there will be others better placed and prepared to be able to take the idea up.

However....if space were to arise, later rather than sooner.... ...I'd volunteer if you don't get enough takers (and if you're not worried that recorder playing might put a potential audience off).

I'd be up for doing something, though might need to borrow an accompanist down south and not do the whole programme!

Yes, I'd be a willing crowd member if I can make it. And I'm not put off by recorders

I'd liaise with the two interested parties for each of the recitals to get a suitable date for both June and November, Louise.

I've just got my next rotation's rota and annoyingly I'm on nights over that weekend . I may be able to swap, but that's highly unlikely as it's the bank holiday weekend and people won't want to swap. I'll have a go at trying though.

Although I will may fit in a trip to Islington on the same day top get the most out of my train ticket - it's what I did before Barrys recital and it fits quite nicely into the day, and satisfys my other hobby too, so I get a really fab day!

It's Loop which is a yarn shop.
I'm addicted to knitting and crochet and they have a fab range plus loads of books from places like Japan that (as far as I know) aren't available anywhere else in the UK.
I had just found an out of print book before your recital - it was about ?100 second hand on Amazon so I was really chuffed to have got it for ?18 new.

I can't do the Jubilee weekend as I'm on nights and can't swap. I can do any other date in June though.

Sadly, the June date has now foundered - but if you fancy trying this in November, let me know! Will avoid 10th (Lord Mayor's Show) and whichever of 17th or 24th Tenor Viol picks for Chester.

I could possibly get some tunes together for November although I have only just decided on an LTCL programme after binning the previous one, so I have an odd little mishmash of pieces for a recital.
