Hi everyone I'm looking into getting a new case for my viola as mine doesn't have enough space for my rest (which i stupidly forgot to take to my last lesson). I'm looking for an oblong one to fit a 16" viola about ?100-?200 needs to have enough room for accessories rosin rest etc and be of sturdy construction because I'm always on the move with it.

Recommendations would be appreciated.

I have a BAM viola case (for my 15.5") that I bought HERE

EDIT: Sorry I gave the wrong link earlier - this is the shop and case that I bought. I have found it excellent value for money and there is a model for a 16" instrument biggrin.gif They were very helpful when I was looking for just the 'right' case to suit me; it's lightweight but strong and not too 'big'. I like the fact it has a full-size music pocket on the outside and my shoulder rest fits perfectly (and it doesn't have folding legs).

We bought a Gewa violin case alittle while ago, and are very pleased with is, it was about ?150.
They are widely available from music retailers or on the web.
Ours came via D A Vernon Violins, Stretford Manchester http://www.vernon-violins.co.uk

The Concertante case is OK (mine has lasted for years) and at the lower end of your price range.
