..and all but 2 of my pupils have come back biggrin.gif

It's going well...I'm only teaching Monday and Thursday evenings (frm 4.30pm) and Saturday mornings because it's when OH can be around for baby-duties and they've all fitted in to those slots well, though I am teaching back-to-back now without a break in between lessons (had to - to fit them all in).

I've got a waiting list - and cos I've got a waiting list, my existing students are all suddenly really reliable!! One family have paid me for a full month of lessons they can't attend because they want me to keep their slot open for them (I offered to put them on the waiting list, but they wanted to keep their slot)

So T&C work!! (lesson to all!!)

The only downside is that every man (and his dog) want to see "the baby" (who does have a name!!) It's quite difficult when they're in and out in half an hour with the next one waiting to come in straight away. If "the baby" is in the kitchen with the OH I let them peek through the glass (a lot of them bought him presents so thought it only fair they get a look!!)

But then....one girl's Grandma brought her one week. I'd never seen her before...and she said "oooh xxx told me I'd be able to see "the baby""

Then one of my adults said "when I pick my certificate up from my exam can my Mum come too cos she loves babies..." and I'm like blink.gif

i've lost my longest-standing pupil which is sad sad.gif Been teaching her since I started but she found another teacher while I was on leave (think her Mum was worried I'd be having another baby in the near future...not a chance!!)

So it's all going good smile.gif

Hi - how long did you take for your leave?
icklechick
Baby was born 28th October - but wasn't actually due til 10th December - so it was a bit of surprise early maternity leave and I did end up still giving lessons til 1st December (dunno how I did it now...) cos had a lot doing exams.

So stopped about half the lessons at the end of October, the rest on the 1st December and I started back teaching the last week in March (bit random...)

So glad things have turned out well for you, icklechick, with almost all of your pupils returning. Hope everything continues to go well. smile.gif

Blimey that was early, you must be amazing to keep it all going. I have a two and a half year old and my OH and I are thinking of number two so I'm just thinking ahead of how to handle things. It's great to read how well you are doing biggrin.gif

Yeah, it's been a bit weird reading their notebooks - seeing their last lesson (for some of them) was 24th October..the night before we went away for a few days...which then got cut dramatically short as we made a mad dash home from the middle of nowhere at 3am!!
