Full Version: Stolen Music
Forums > ABRSM > General Music Forum

As dedicated readers of the scream thread know my car was broken into last week and my music bag was stolen from the boot. It contained a pile of low grade saxophone and clarinet music which is easy, if not cheap to replace.

What is much harder to resolve is the pad of wind band music which is where I wondered if any of my forum friends can help.

The missing music is the 1st alto saxophone parts of the following:

Flowerdale (Philip Sparke) - Anglo Music
Hymn to the Fallen (John Williams arr Sparke) - Anglo Music
The Dam Busters (Eric Coates) - Chappells
The Lion King (Elton John/Hans Zimmer arr Custer) Hal Leonard
Breezin' Down Broadway (arr Richards) - Obrasso-Vwerlag
Harry Potter Symphonic Suite (John Williams arr. Smith) - Hal Leonard
The Land of the Long White Cloud (Philip Sparke) G & M Brand
Global Variations (Nigel Hess) - Faber Music
Warsaw Concerto (Richard Addinsell arr. Feltham)
Superman (John Williams att Lowden) - Belwin
Star Wars (John Williams arr Bulla)- Hal Leonard
Venetian Spells (Martin Ellerby) - Studio Music
Riverdance (Bill Whelan arr. Compton)

Our conductor thinks he can get new copies of the pieces published by Anglo Music/Studio Music and G & M
Brand. If anyone can help me get hold of copies of any of these I would be incredibly grateful as it will save me a huge amount of time reconstructing parts from the score.

Thanks

To be honest Barry that is the 1 part Im not upset to have lost the alto 1 part was riddled with mistakes (nothing major just missing about 32 bars!) so I had already decided I needed to get the score and generate a new part.

Fair enough smile.gif

Most of the stuff on the list we haven't got, sadly, but I'll see if we have any spares hanging around of one or two of those pieces. Can't promise, but will have a go. smile.gif
