Hi all, I've just picked up this flute. Its a Yamaha YFL-21N. I'm assuming its the earlier version of the 211. Does any one have any experience with this particular model.

I have a YFL 22N - so very similar in age and style. The N means it's nickel rather than silver plated.

It was my first flute, and wasn't new when I had it in the late 70s.

It's still in good playing order, reasonably in tune. I keep it now as my back-up flute.

Thanks for the info Katyjay, sounds like mine was made in the 70's too then. As long as they offer a reasonable tuning, should be easy enough to intonate.

I bought a second hand one of these a few years ago when I was beginning to play, and it served me very well indeed. I had to sell it in order to upgrade, and to be honest, I really miss it. Enjoy!
