I thought Wolves wanted a proven premier league manager? McDermott's done a grand job for you, but he doesn't have any prem experience - so hopefully he'll be safe for you. You may well be swapping places with Wolves at the end of the season, so I'm not sure it would be a sensible move for him...

It does look like McDermott will stay at Reading now as he will be offered a new contract. The fact that Wolves have a couple of our former players doesn't help, but still there's no guarantee that Wolves will stay up.

I don't support anyone in the Premier League and do support 2 local teams - Middlesbrough who are in the Championship and Darlington who are non-league (and in danger of extinction ). Very few of the regular posters on this thread support Prem teams.

I've just seen this on the BBC site. They are in 3rd place, 5 points off an automatic promotion spot. Surely the disruption of a managerial change at this stage in the season will disrupt things for them and detract from their promotion push.
