Yummy. 8|

Didn't make much of a mess did it?
noodle
Oh dear! Ugh indeed. I'm shuddering just thinking about it...
sarah-flute
Fortunately is was the arch of my foot and I realised I'd stepped on something before I squashed it... but it stuck to my foot, I had to shake it off....

*feeling so ill*

UGH!

I also want to know how on EARTH it got into my KITCHEN?!?!?!?!?!!!!????
noodle
Hopefully he was alone - and none of his friends are in your kitchen too Sarah!
chocolatedog
Was it after your salad? (Maybe it's getting too cold for it outside! Aah!)
sarah-flute
noodle: don't! ohmy.gif

CD: I'm trying to feel sympathetic to the slimey creature... it isn't working.... sad.gif
SteveHopwood
Yurrrrrggggghhhhhhhh.

I can do ticklish any time - spiders etc.

Slimy makes me curl up. Can't stand it.

Loads of sympathy, Sarah.

I must admit as a part-time gardener I've become fascinated by the different types of slugs - the ones I really don't like are the orange ones, but I've found some really pretty ones with a spotted saddle and a stripes along their back, and some more greeny-coloured ones with brown squiggley patterns in my garden. Apparently they don't tend to eat garden plants but are more likely to feed off decaying leaves and stuff. (What colour was the one in your kitchen?!) tongue.gif

You squished it "a little"? I'm sure the slug is so relieved wink.gif

Look on the bright side, at least you didn't squish it completely, therefore you didn't have to retrieve the rest of it from the other side of the kitchen! smile.gif

uuuuuuuuuuuuuuugh Helen! laugh.gif

I didn't inspect it that closely. I didn't stamp my foot on it or anything... fortunately was just lowering it down. It stuck. Ugh, now I feel queasy again...

I didn't do it on purpose! sad.gif rolleyes.gif

I actually always feel guilty when I step on snails... but would much rather do it in shoes than bare feet either way.......

Fortunately I didn't actually squish it but it was jolly unpleasant. If I had, I might have been sick... sad.gif sad.gif sad.gif

There's something just horrible about them... cute I'm afraid I just don't see!

Monty Python's Flying Circus - at the end of the opening credits, a large foot comes down, accompanied by a whoopee-cushion style squishing noise.
sarah-flute
Oh thanks guys - now I'm with you!!

It's been an awfully long while since I saw any Monty Python!

We are allowed to talk about spiders though aren't we? I felt this tickling on my chest one day last week and when I looked inside my t-shirt I saw it was a spider. I've never stripped so quickly in all my life! The worst thing was that it must have been there for my half-hour piano practise just before that!

Sarah give my regards to the original slug and it's 'half-brother'. biggrin.gif

One summer, we had a former student and now honorary daughter staying with us. Kathy was practising, amongst other things, Liszt's Le jeaux d'eaux a la Villa Deste, a piece she played beautifully. Our big ginger tome, Squeak, adored Kathy and spend all her practise time in the music room with her.

After Kathy went back to college, I decided to learn it. Squeak was in his customary position when I sat down to read the formidably difficult first page. After a couple of bars, Squeak stood up, bellowed miaooowwwww in a very loud voice and stalked from the room. laugh.gif

That was telling me sad.gif
