Here is a website listing hundreds of phobias.

I wonder how many around here have ecoergophobia tongue.gif
sarah-flute
That was a really good guess, maggiemay! I guess there's a reason behind the Aulos trading name smile.gif

What I don't understand is why it's, erm, "aulo"s that people are apparently commonly afraid of...

Jane, you have me intrigued now, I'm looking for it!

Lol, I did the same thing in Mallorca, but it was 9 flights of stairs in the hotel (penultimate floor) - it wasn't out of fear - it was just I didn't like the smell of the lift! rolleyes.gif

Anyone seen that Far Side comic, Anatidaephobia? The fear that somewhere, somehow, a duck is watching you laugh.gif

I'm arachnophobic too, and I also have extremely bad gephyrophobia (crossing bridges). Although, some bridges are better than others. But I can't cross by myself because I have a panic attack! so I need to go with someone who can effectively drag me across.

Also a fear (but not quite a phobia) of being trapped underwater. It's happened before, and nobody came to help me... sad.gif
