Hi Liversidge, I dont know of anywhere in Leeds I'm not from the area, however I like Irish Fiddle so I can recommend some music books:
O'Neill's 1001 Jigs, Reels, Hornpipes, Airs and Marches - The Irish Music Collection (published by Waltons -I think)- This is a good book and has hundreds of popular tunes that are easy to play.
Soodlums Irish Ballad Book; This contains very popular and well known stuff and is easy enough as well, also lots of popular tunes that can be used at pub sessions. Has guitar chords as well. Soodlums also do some others with CD's
English, Welsh, Scottish and Irish Fiddle Tunes by Robin Williamson has some excellent tunes some are a little more challenging as well. Includes guitar chords
Another one that I've recently borrowed and I like is The Best of The Pogues by IMP publishers
Also its worth scanning though the bango books in the music shops, borrowed one recently sorry I cant remember who it was by but I got some really lovely tunes such as Eavesdroppper , Kerry Polker and Harvest home also it had some excercises for playing scales which I have found really useful
Best of luck
