well done! he he. laugh.gif

Tell me it's not true
Say it's just a story
Something on the news

Tell me it's not true
Though it's here before me
Say its just a dream
Say it's just a scene
From an old movie from years ago
From an old movie with marilyn monroe

Tell me it's not true
Say you didn't mean it...

I think i've got some of them mixed up and i've not put them all down, but you get the idea.

Tell me more about you... male/female, i can see you're 14 (so am i)... grade 8 singing?? whats it like? how long have you been doing lessons for?, etc, etc, etc...

Hi!
My name is Christina and I am a singer. I love to be in operas, musicals and plays. I've never gotton a major lead, but supporting ones with solos, like soprano gossip in Noah!, Louisa in Sound of Music, and Pepper in Annie. I'm hoping to be Sally in an upcoming performance that my high-school is putting on, and this summer I am going to try out for Cosette in a student version of Les Mis that the community theater company is putting on and I am very likely to get the part of Bet in the company's Oliver this summer.

NIce to meet you!
Tell me more!

the les Mis plot is very complicated- but I'll try
there is this guy- Jean ValJean that broke into a house and has to go to prison- he finally gets parole and gets to leave prison but breaks his parole and steels some silver from a bishops home- the bishop lets him have it and tells him to go make a new life away- he goes to a new town and becomes owner of a factory and major of the time, but still having the prison guard javert after him- in comes Fantine who is a worker in his factory she has a daughter and is a prostitute to make extra money to pay for an innkeeper and his wife to talk care of her the boss finds out that she is a prostitute and she gets fired-mean while jean rescues a man from underneath a cart and javert sees that he might be the man that escaped jarvert mentions that they found a man that will be convicted because they thought he was jean, the real jean valjean confessees to let the falsely accused go free- but he says that there is an errand that he has to fun very fast- he has to go see fantine- later that night fantine is accused of attacking a pimp and is put in prison she gets sick and Jean comes to see her and tells her that he will take her daughter- javert shows up and jean and javert fight- we find out that javert was born in a jail and jean wins the fight- fantine dies and jean goes to get her child
-i'll type more later

- i love all music but my current obsession is "wicked"!!!!!!!!

I bet that your town has a community theater, most towns do, ask your piano teacher of if you know the music teacher in your school ask them- go ahead and try out for your school shows- before you audition- research the show and first what would be the perfect part for you and then prepare and audition for that part and do it perfectly- instead of just wanting to be any part or a member of the chorus... does that make sense?

sorry rosie, i don't have enough time to continue with les mis- i will later
tmint
i have some advice too. ask your form tutor or head of drama department if there are any school performances that you could audition for if you dont know she night want you to sing bit of solo, but i think they'll tell you what, and probably a bit of acting, but you need to ask about it. if you audition for anything, but don't get in, ask if you can help behind the scenes, its always a great start. if not, keep trying whenever an opportunity comes up, dont lose any confidence, especially during an audition, you can always ask to start again.
being nervous is normal and im sure you already know that. even really professional actors get nervous, though i like to call it excitement because thats how i feel it. practice singing and acting in front of your friends or family or a small audience before you audition. the more you do things like auditions, concerts or demos for your friends, the more confident you'll get. i always feel more nervous the night before than the actual day, so really milk it. the night before, if you feel really nervous, forget about practicing. i walk around the house as many times as i feel like, walking slowly and breathing deeply. make yourself laugh when youre on your own. that probably souns really stupid, but it works for me! if you want anything else, just ask. good luck!

more les mis......
okay so now we see young cosette at the place where she is living- with innkeepers (and their daughter eponine) that treat her like a servent and when jean comes to get cosette then put on fake sorrow faces and he gives them a lot of money and he takes cosette away- ten years later we see that jean and cosette are living in paris
continue later.. got a voice lesson in about 5 minutes!!!!
ahhhh! im gonna be late
