We've all had a few months now to get used to the new layout of the boards on the ABRSM site. So, following last night's little down-time I just thought I'd say I'm really impressed by them on the whole. I like the way the Cafe works - now, if I want to post something non-musical I don't have to feel guilty about cluttering the music-related boards. Without this option, we would have missed out on lots of games and chat threads - and awards! - which give these boards such a warm and fuzzy community feeling.

Similarly, if I'm just in the mood for music talk I don't have to bother trawling through the irrelevant chit-chat.
I thought I'd really miss the Clarinet-specific board, but the Cl tagging seems to work and I don't miss it at all. In fact, I can hardly remember what the boards were like before (but that's just senility kicking in, I suppose).

And is it my imagination, or are the pages loading faster now than ever before?

So, I just wanted to put out a "Thank you" to the website/marketing team for the new look forum.

This layout is nicer, plus the cafe is fab for just chilling and talking to people.

Yes, this board looks pretty good. The BBC R3 music boards have recently had a make-over: they were rubbish before, and they're rubbish still.

Could anyone describe to me what the forums looked like before?

The old forums it used to have were 'Libretto' and 'Website' (where you put down any ideas for it or ask how to do something on the forums), but I can't really remember the layout!
