I have found that with my students, A3 is a popular choice, with A2 being second best. For the B's, B2 has been chosen by everyone - March of the Wooden Soldiers. And C2 - Cha Cha is again the favourite - they all love that one!!

A3 (Sonatina) B3 (Sunshine) and C1 (Dance) are the favourites
C4 and C6 are also good fun to play - I personally don't find the Cha-cha (C2) particularly interesting, and pupils have opted for C1 so far.
I think A3 is a little gem.

Glad to see some responses at the bottom with names rather than numbers, makes a little more sense to the average reader who can't be bothered to go and look at the grade 3 syllabus

I might play it at my festival in February as it's the easiest out of the three I chose!

Ahh, glad to meet a fellow
sufferer, I mean lucky exam candidate, I'm doing a piano exam in November/December too (hoping for as late as possible just to put it off

) and beginning to wonder why

. Good luck

.
Why is it when I get scared I feel
less motivated to actually practice

? I put all of my energy into worrying instead

It is a bit weird - major in one hand and minor in the other.
I don't dislike it - but haven't yet found anyone who wanted to learn it.

I have two students who wanted to learn it - I don't know why, but they just seemed to like it.

Cha cha is hard! It'd be OK if it didn';t have that left hand part....

My son did A1 Passepied, B2 Marche des Soldats de Bois and C2 Cha Cha last session. I think Cha Cha was probably his best piece. The examiner liked it and A1 too, but I suspect he played B2 a little too fast as it was remarked that 'the fanfare figures in the LH were not quite under control at this lively tempo'
