So, started college and got a new violin teacher through the college, and he introduced me to the third position and vibrato (OMG!), apparently he thinks I'm ready for that...
anyhow, can someone recommend me (or better yet send me) some simple pieces in third position, or any information on shifting/vibrato for thatmatter. That would be extremely helpful
Edit: apparently I spelled pieces incorrectly. ~_~
3rd position pieces by Sheila M. Nelson. I don't have this but I do have her first book "Moving Up" for 2nd position which is fun.

shifting positions isnt specially hard just takes lots of practice so you land on the right spot. hold the violin firmly under your chin so you don't have to support it with your left hand then you can move your left hand freely.
