Yes I buy the Pianist magazine but I've never really used the scores. I just read the articles.
I will have to have a go at playing some of the scores. It will be good sight reading practice.
Nat you can get the magazine in WH Simths.

I have a subscription to that...there is a website i think, try searching in an internet search engine.
i think the pianist is quite a good magazine - tends to be articles about methods for learning, careers in music, different styles etc etc. there are messages sent in by people who read the mag which can sometimes be useful, and the scores are grouped into Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced so u can keep them over a long period and build up to the end ones! Warning tho - there can be a couple of mistakes sometimes in the scores, inaccurately copied out for the mag i think, but these are usually obvious.
Laura
PS there is also now a childrens piece included in each one

I got my subscription reminder this morning - £27 for 1 year.
Also includes a CD to that you can hear the scores and play along with them. I like being able to play along with other instruments ie violin in Brahms Sonata for Violin and Piano No 3.
Having said that, I won't be renewing my subsription as I haven't had time to play all the pieces from last year's copies or read all the articles yet.

Hi all!
I used to buy this mag. but felt after a while it was too expensive for what it was offering. As someone said often they forget to print all the music of a piece!! Only a minor inconvienience i know- ( hope spelling was alright there DavidMusic ). Also my piano not in tune so couldn't play along to Grieg's concerto etc. etc. !!
